Avril Jarvis

The Family of Avril “Darling” Jarvis with sadness is announcing her homegoing on May 1, 2018.  Avril was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Wesleyan Holiness in Contant. The viewing is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the service is set for 10:00 a.m. Interment is set for Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.

Avril is preceded in death by her parents, Louisa and Berkeley Jarvis, a son, Gregson Thomas; and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Viola “Muffet” Lewis-Hodge, (St. Croix &New Britain, Connecticut); Leonard “Buckabee” & Jean (Daughter-in-Law) Lewis, (Humble, Texas); Violet “Bridges” Jarvis (Bronx, New York & Miami, Florida.); Wendell “Kimo” & Withza (Daughter-in-Law) Nibbs. (Miami, Florida); grandchildren, Troy ”Demi” Henry, Jennifer Dolphin- Gaillard, Jason Marsh, Jada Francis, DeSean Freeman, Arisha  Lewis-Edwards, LeAnna Lewis- Parris, Laticia Lewis, Leonard “LJ” Lewis Jr., Taj ”Miguel” Hodge, Tanya Hodge, Latoya Hodge-Muzzulin, Lataifah Love, Azara Francis, Norma Yarwood-Harris, Aleek Nibbs, Aaron Nibbs, Sharod Smith, Dwayne Wilkerson, Sydney Darrel and Stephan Darrell. She has many surviving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, great-niece, Orgyll Carrillo, and many other great nieces and nephews. Avril’s surviving siblings, Gloria Spencer and Ivonne “Lillian” Jarvis 

Avril was related to the Grahams, Jacksons, and Jarvis from, All-Saints, Sweets, and Liberta areas of Antigua. She is survived as well by special dear friends, Mrs. Gerda Gottlieb, and Ms. Doris Archibald. Avril had many extended Church Members of the First Wesleyan Holiness Church, and the Faith Wesleyan Holiness Church.  She also had many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

God loves us and HE knows the pain that death causes those left behind.
