Relatives and Friends, we regret to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Doreen V. Buchanan. Mrs. Buchanan passed on August 14th, 2021, at the age of 90 in St. Cloud, FL.
Mrs. Buchanan was preceded in death by her husband of many years Dodridge N. Buchanan Sr. and son Dodridge W. (Popyou) Buchanan Jr.
Doreen V. Buchanan was born on the island of St. Kitts, West Indies. She was a devoted Seventh Day Adventist who attended the City Seventh-Day Adventist Church in St. Thomas.

Buchanan – St. Cloud, Florida, Patricia “Patsy” Buchanan – St. Cloud, Florida, and Claudette Y. Buchanan – St. Thomas; stepdaughter’s: Avrile Buchanan – Tortola BVI, and Mary “May” Buchanan – Fort Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren – 78; step grandchildren – 10; daughter-in-Law: Patricia “Patty” Buchanan; brother-in-Law: Bascum Phipps; care giver: Trevor Homer; Nieces: Joycelyn Burt, Whilma Audain, and Jean Fahie; special nephew: Burnell Hicks; nephews: Leroy Fahie, Thomas “Chuckoo” Gordon, and Clifton Gordon; nieces: Jean Fahie & Family, Priscilla Pinney & Family, and Thomas Gordon & Family; special friends: Liza Williams & Family, Esther Smith, Sean Thomas & Family and Hilaria “Hilli” Flemming; and many family and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing is Wednesda, September 15, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turnbull's Funeral Home. The second viewing is from Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Shiloh SDA Tabernacle, 152 Anna’s Retreat, St. Thomas, USVI 00802 with a service to follow from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment is at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
